My son is 11months and I can not get him on a regular eating or sleep pattern?
Answer:
You said "sometimes he sleeps past his ideal meal time"
Right there is your answer. You must wake babies to keep them on schedule. For example, If my son is not awake by 7:30 am I wake him up and get the day's schedule off to the right start with breakfast. An hour ago I woke him from his little evening snooze to eat his dinner and play before bedtime at 8pm. Babies do not schedule themselves, you have to help them do it.
He may be a child that doesn't need a routine. If he is happy I wouldn't worry too much about it.
try making him nap on his bed, don't pick him up when he wakes up in the middle of the nap. if you fix the sleeping thing food thing will automatically get fixed.i htink routine is always good for you n your child both
let him sleep. he'll eat when he's hungry.
Be sure to observe rule #1 Never, ever wake a sleeping baby! it is too early to be stetting schedules for him - let him set the schedule…
At 11 months babies need about 14 hours of sleep… about 10- 12 hours at night and a couple hours of so naps. Some babies need more sleep some need less…
He should be sleeping through the night if he regularly wakes during the night let him fall back asleep on his own. If he cries for more than 20 minutes you can check in to make sure he or she isn't sick or needs of a diaper change but sneak in quietly - don’t turn on the lights, pick him up, dont talk, sing to or feed him when you go to check on him.
You can give him a pacifier, a soft toy to or a back/tummy rub to comfort him and slip out quietly…
