Are there any grants for low families with autistic kids?
Answer:
Try a Google or Yahoo search for "Autism Foundation." This will bring up a list of charatible foundations for autism, many of whom provide grants to families for intervention programs (there are too many to list here). Some of them are just for their local states or areas though. There are a lot of great, free resources online to help you as well. Here are some of my favorites:
"Ten Things Every Child with Autism Wishes You Knew" by Ellen Notbohm - http://www.southflorida.com/sfparenting/...
Website of Paula Kluth, Ph.D. - http://www.paulakluth.com/autism.html...

He would qualify for Social Security.
being in the military you can go to the Family Readiness Center..(lol, my husband and i just argued on what that place is called..i think this is right) and they can help you with all of that kind of stuff. they helped with our daughter getting into the different things for delayed speech.

hers a few websites to get you started, also call your local dept of social services and ask them to direct you to a state funded agency, dont take NO as an answer. We all pay taxes for this reason. Good Luck and God bless you, you took on quit a responsability and I comend you for keeping your family together.
