Double black eye within child, no injury?

My son just unpredictably had 2 black eyes appear. They arent TRUE dark, genus of a reddish purple underneath both eyes. Theres no swelling, he say it doesnt hurt, and he didnt hurt himself. When i asked him what happened he said he itched his eye. Could that be from some nature of allergy? Anyone ever heard of that up to that time? Should i be concerned? Theres an after hours clinic down the road open for another hour and a partly, i was thinking of taking him in attendance, but it seems kinda silly to me....basically wondering any other parents opinions. And please spare me the phone up his dr lecture...if i be convinced it was something serious, i wouldnt be sitting here right in a minute, just trying to see if this have happened to anyone formerly, or theyd heard of anything approaching this. Thanks!

Answers:    It probably is just an allergy. Give him some Benadryl. I used to go and get major seasonal allergies when I be a child. My eyes would swell shut at times. He may have ruptured some blood vessel under his eyes next to all the rubbing. The skin underneath within is very fragile.
murky circles under the eyes nouns symptom of allergies, he may have come into contact next to somehting that he is allergic to. Give him benedryll and see if it goes away, nickname his dr to get an allergy trial.
He might've rubbed his eyes too hard and bruised the soft tissue underneath.

I'd donate him some allergy medicine and administer him a cool compress to place over his eyes.
Sounds like allergies, if goop starts coming out it may be pink eye. My daughter have allergies and her eyes look like that sometimes. You can hang around until monday to call the dr.
my daughter get this sometimes....here's some of her reasons:
1) allergies
2)overtired
3)double ear infection (this will usually soon follow next to major eye gunk)
it's your kid, you know when to purloin 'em in. only keep an eye out (no pun intended)
u should run him to the doctor. it must bother u some.
sinus infection maybe? or he touched something and consequently rubbed his eyes and had a recoil.. could be allergies i suppose.. i would see a dr but not sure how much they could do besides tell you "dally to see if it gets worse..."
My son get this sometimes as well, and it looks resembling he's sick or really tired. Usually it's just from rubbing underneath his eyes, similar to when he's sleepy. I think his skin is a short time ago very sensitive, and this is a sensitive nouns anyway.
