LOL... Me and my husband had the same discussion. He thinks it's funny that they have very "racial particular" names. We have even laughed about naming our new baby Uniqua. I'm Glad there is other parents that watch these kiddie sitcoms and feel confused at times!LOL. My husband is still trying to figure out the whole Steve and Joe thing! I tried to tell him Steve went to collage and Joe is filling in! My daughter is in love with Veggie Tales. When she figures out Bob And Larry are part of her salad she will need counseling.
She is unique, hence the name.

She has antennas so maybe a giant ant or some other enlarged insect.

Uniqua is her name, and also her species – with her purple skin, pink spots, and dainty antennae, she doesn't look like any other creature on the planet.

I asked this question to my 3 year old just 2 days ago. Figuring she would know she answered "She's a Uniqua."
Then she proceeded to tell me what everyone was. So I guess Uniqua is just unique!
I thought she was a bug with her antenna and all. The others look a little more authentic and she's hot pink.
