Does anyone else's 18 month old wake up extremely upset?

My 18 month old daughter will go take her nap happily. About 30-40 minutes into it (her norm is about 1 1/2 hours) she'll wake up extremely upset and crying my name, even the cat's name!! Has any other parent had this?

Answer:
Try to put your child in their bed while they are still awake, while they are drowsy. Pat them if necessary, although too much of that can be a problem as well. Usually if you do it right, they will be too tired to protest, just pat them once or twice. Putting them in their bed before they fall completely asleep helps familiarize them with their surroundings. If your child IS awake when you put them into their bed and still wakes up crying, you might think about changing your routine a little bit. Hope that helps!
YES!! Right after her nap my little one wakes up screaming...immediately. I ignore her. It won't do any good to run into her room and grab her up, that only encourages this. I do walk to her room, say hello to her so that she knows that i'm still here and i wait until she settles down before I take her out of her play yard.
