Possible ear infection?
Answer:
Yes, it does sound like a possible infection. But, if he does have an infection you should start to notice some drainage coming from the ear. The tubes are put in to reduce pressure in the ear during an infection, not to prevent infections.
I would take him to the dr because they might be falling out or moving around.
Take him to the doctor.
Anytime you have PE tubes placed in the ears is to drain any infection buildup or fluid in the ear. You need to see or call your pediatrician to see if your baby may need antibiotics to fight the infection or to make sure that something else may be bothering him.
go to the doc soon!
Perhaps...I suggest you bring him to your general practitioner GP or a ENT (Ear Nose Throat) specialist...I found a good website for you to check against the symptoms...
Most ear infections are viral so antibiotics would not help. Antibiotics also are not that great for the immune system. You should ask your Dr. how he assesses that the infection is bacterial or viral.
TAKE HIM TO YOUR DOCTOR AND GIVE HIM WHAT HE PERSCRIBES. NONE OF US ARE DOCTORS HERE> your son has tubes in his ears did any of us put them there? NO your doctor did he knows what is best for your child not us. If we told you to go jump in front of a moving train would you do it, if we said it would make him feel better? I hope not. Well I am a mother of 5 and would listen to my doctor before waiting it out like some people say. If he has an ear infection it can get worse instead of better if you wait. He might evan end up loseing his hearing. And I think you put the tubes in to help his hearing right?
Well, Good LUCK hope your son gets better And MERRY X-MAS.
