When is the right time to have a home pregnancy test?

I had to get my periods on 10th,i had one on 12th which came negative,I have had spotting 2 weeks before ,around 1st & 2nd ,
Now when can i have my next pregnancy test,Also plz tell me a good brand tests.

You should use a E.P.T. It detected my pregnancy when I was only 6 weeks along (WHICH IS EXTREMELY EARLY!) && It was correct!

Wait about a month && then take another test. Most tests cannot detect the pregnancy before the first month is over!

A good urine pregnancy test should detect at 10mIU/ml of HCG (human choriogonadotropin - the "pregnancy hormone") and can tell at approx. 10 days after conception (even before you miss a period). These are parameters for a lab urine preg test. I do not know the specifications for a home test. Check the specs on the box or ask. If you do take an early test and it is negative and you believe you are pregnant - wait a couple of days and try the test again. In the early stages of pregnancy, this hormone level goes up quite rapidly.
