This will sound really weird but the morning i was going on holiday 20/12/2006 I done a prego test i put it in a clear sandwich bag just to get on with the bits that needed doing i forgot bout it with all the comotion and looked at it just now It was a positive result how accurate is it?Also i have not had a propper period this month just on and off spotting.

It may be accurate, especially with the spotting you are having, but nevertheless rest and know for sure.

I would think it was pretty accurate, as it measures the pregnancy hormone.
Have you been taking the conraceptive pill after taking the test on the 20th? This could be the reason for the "spotting"
The best thing is to get another test just to put your mind at rest.
Then you can take it from there, once you get the result
