I have periods every 5 or 6 months but I'm having pregnancy symptoms, how long should I wait to test?
Answer:
Go to your doctor. I had the same problem. I wouldn't get my period for months and always thought i was pregnant. I went to my doctor and she diagnosed me with PCOS (PolyCystic Ovarian Syndrom) and in order to get pregnant i had to take pills. I am not saying it cant happen. I think that you should go to a doctor, not having your period for that long amount of time is not healthy (it is great though)And yes a doctor can tell pregnancy for a pelvic.
you are sooo lucky you only get a period every 6 months geez why cant i be that lucky....i would go see a gyno so she can give you a more accurate test
My OB told me that 10 days after having sex, you can take a home preg. test and it (hopefully) should work. But, go to the doctors! They will give you a difinate answer! They can't tell from a pelvic exam but they will take labs. (draw some blood and/or collect a urine sample.) they did both to me. I got my results the same day though.
If you already have pregnancy symptoms, it is time to take a pregnancy test.
