To the cervix? Immediately. To fertilize an egg, they must swim to the fallopian tubes which takes about 6 hours.
Depending on where you get your information, the sperm will live and attempt to swim to the egg for anywhere between 2 days max to 7 days max. I've read all numbers inbetween, all from credible sources (universities, medical websites, etc.)

It only takes seconds to concieve a child. If you dont want to chance getting pregnant I suggest you use condoms.even if the male does not ejaculate inside the vagina...you can still get pregant by pre-ejaculatory sperm.
