Im trying to get pregnant and i was wondering how many times in a wk should we do it to maximize the chances?
Answer:
I had sex every day while trying to conceive, I was unsure exactly when I ovulated so I thought that would make my chances as good as they get. I was extremely lucky and got pregnant on the first try- I also would stay in bed for at least 20-30 min. afterwards. My doctor recommends every other day but I just decided to have sex every day.
i'll take care of that for you
Do it every other day. That will increase your odds. Good luck.
Every other day is suggested. If you have sex every day it will make your husband/bouyfriend's sperm count get too low. Best of luck to you.
Do not have sex every day. Sperm gets stronger by waiting a few days in between.
Rather than focusing on how MUCH, you might want to focus on WHEN. There are a lot of methods to help you determine when you are most fertile, and if you have sex every day (or every other day) leading up to ovulation, you are very likely to get pregnant sooner rather than later.
You can try charting your basal body temperature, ovulation prediction kits, and other methods to help calculate and pinpoint your ovulation date.
Having sex the day or two before ovulation is most likely to result in a pregnancy, so that should be your goal!
you only ovulate for about 5 days each month. when my sister was trying to get pregnant she told me about this method. Starting from the first day of your period count 10 days. Say your period started on the 10th of the month 10 days from that would be the 20th then you count two days before and two days after which would be say 18 19 21 22 and those are the days when you will be ovulating..best time to have sex
my doc told me every other day..to ever other few days! for his sperm to build up! and start having sex the day after your period ends! and it only took a month for us!
There is only a 24 hour period when your egg is viable for fertilisation, so just before you're ovulating, during your ovulation and about a week after you ovulate (just to be sure) I'd be having sex about once a day, once every second day if it suits your sex drive better (sperm live for 3 - 5 days within the uterus). Also, climaxing when your partner does, also helps pull the sperm higher into your vagina due to the convulsions of orgasm. You could also try laying on your back with your legs and lower back in the air after your partner ejaculates, letting gravity help the lil swimmers do their thing, so try that.
Best of luck to you.
