How Long should I wait?

I had a miscarriage on Christmas Day. My Doctor told my husband and I to wait 5 weeks before having intercourse and after those 5 weeks are up, we should wait until April to try having a baby again and to use condoms and spermicide until then. Why is the wait so long and what will happen if we get pregnant before then say around February? Thank you for all of your answers.

After a misscarriage you actually should wait 6 weeks before having sex about. There reason for that is for infection mostly. As for getting pregnant again it's because your body has to heal. God Bless.

Okay! Its just to give your body time to heal. But after you have been pregnant your easier to get pregant againin some case. I lmiscarriage in feb and by April I was pregnant again and every thing was fine.

The miricle of having a baby can be a blessing, and or a pain. either way, i am so sorry about your misscarrige, but consider all of the children in orphanges like me, i was adopted from china, and i thank my parents everyday. then consider how overpopulated this country is.

Sometimes if you rush it or don't give your body time to heal itself you may just have another miscarriage as your body was not ready for the new development.
