I have a doctor appointment at the end of the month but I am pretty sure that I have cyst on my ovaries.?
Answer:
When you go to the Dr. ask if they can put you on a lower does of the BC. Then maybe you can go off and not have problems. I think surgery to remove the cysts would be too extreme and could have negative affect on trying to conceive. I wish you all the best!
I had 5 cysts on my right ovary and concieved just fine. They were folical cysts which meant that I didnt' drop an egg every time I ovulated, sometimes the little egg sack didn't rupture and just kept the egg inside and it developed into a cyst instead. I suspect this is what you have as well. It took us over a year to concieve, which was painful because I wasn't on the Mirena anymore which is what I used to control the pain and bleeding during my cycle.. but it worked out finally for us, thank god.
i was put on bc when i was 16 because i had a server cyst rupture on my right ovarie. it was the scarest thing ever. They thought it was my appendix but it wasn't i was rushed into surgery not to scare you or anything that is just my experience when it. I was on bc for 3 years and then i stopped taking it because my husband and i are ttc. they told me that i can till have kids which was a good thing. They also told me that every woman gets cyst when they ovulate they are just suppose to go down after your cycle but mine just kept growing and never went down. now that i am off of the pill my periods are a lot heavier and my cramps are pain full a lot more then when i was on BC. i was also told that coming off of the pill it can take up to a year when ttc. but i have heard people saying they got pregnant a lot sooner because they were more fertile coming off of the pill. i hope this helped. i just know where you are coming from with have cyst and ttc. it can be frustrating.
Some women need to be on bc in order to regulate a period, I had a problem similar to yours, I too had to be put on bc in order for me to even have a period, I went to a local clinic, and they just figured that was the problem and left it as that, if you get pain in your lower part of your stomach that could be a definant sign of cysts however, some women do not even know they have one until they do go to a OB/GYN. Since you do have a period while off BC you can talk to your doctor about starting you on fertilization drugs such as Clomiphene also known as clomid, this is the one fertility drug that most doctors start out with, I would also join a group to help track your ovulation days made out by your last period, that is also associated with a pregnancy tracker just in case it happens soon, of course you do need to listen to your doctor as they are the ones who exam you thoroughly. Remember too that if you feel your doctor isn't wanting to go with your own wishes as well such as delaying you in taking the fertility drugs, then get a second opinion, I had this happen to me and the next doctor I visited told me I was as healthy to carry a baby, here are a list of websites that I would suggest visiting in order for you to research for yourself and see all of your options.
I have polycystic ovarian syndrome and my doctor has tried to regulate my periods with glucophage which is a diabetic drug. One of the side effects is that it creates more estrogen to drop your eggs. Talk to your doctor because ovarian cysts seem to go hand in hand with type 2 diabetes. We are more susceptible to getting it. (I don't know why).
Your doctor may also want to put you on a fertility drug to help you conceive but your husband will have to be tested first. Fertility drugs also contribute to either cervical or ovarian cancer so unless your husband is a good candidate your doctor won't put you on them. My husband got tested and his sperm count is very low so no fertility drugs for me. It's either the old fashioned way, in-vitro, or adoption.
Good luck, I know what you are going through.
