I took a preg test but i ddidnt have the directions and im not sure if it was pos or neg?

1 line = - (negative- not pregnant)
go buy a digital one that reads out just a plain pregnant or not pregnant. thats gotta be easier.

on every test i've ever seen.2 lines means you are preg...and 1 line means you aren't.
take another one and read the box carefully this time!?
I've used home pregnancy tests b4 and if you could supply more information we could probably help you decipher the results. Was there a blue line? or what brand was it? someone may be able to recognise the result for you if you told us what type of test it was and what the result looked like?
2 lines means pregnant, no matter how light the lines
1 line means the test is working and you are not pregnant..

If your not sure and you are worried then go and get another test they aren't that expensive now,and make sure that you have the instrutions too- it helps, all the best:)
pee on the stick, wait 5 mins, and look for the boxes. If there is one line the not preg, 2 then preg. If there is a partial 2nd line then preg.
Also, if only 1 line you may want to wait a week and try again as the pregnancy hormone may be too faint right now. Every 2 days the hormone level raises another 30%. It takes awhile for that hormone to build up high enough to be found (depending on the test).
Usually you will be told to wait one week and if no period after a few weeks and still tests are negative go to your doctor because there may be something else going on like being chemically unbalanced but not likely if you are under 36. The most common culprit that makes women 1-3 weeks late, besides pregnancy of course, is high stress. If you are late and both tests at that point are negative then most likely stress, but see doctor right away if you have pain in abdomen.
Re-test or go to your search box and type in the name of the pregnancy test and it will show what a positive and negative looks like for that test.
