Hi, I would be gutted if this had happened to me. I would suggest making an appointment to speak with the head of department and seeing if you can be put back on the list at a preferential position, if not, perhaps writing to the NHS Trust and complaining might help?
Hope you get some treatment soon.
I am so sorry to hear about this, we dont have experience with ivf but I have experienced problem with the nhs myself and I would suggest that you ask for a copy of the nhs complaints procedure and then follow all the steps, first thing will be to put your complain in writing, marking it as a formal complaint, you can also contact an nhs liason officer who will assist you will your complaint. If need be you can also request a meeting with hospital officials. Good luck and dont give up however without proof of your phone calls etc the nhs may say that your not entitled to be to the front of the queue for your treatment.
No I haven't but I am on the waiting list for IUI and IVF. I might just ring up and check now that I am still on the waiting list. Sorry to hear what has happened to you it's disgusting and I think your quite right to take it to the press. Something should be done quicker then. Good luck:)
hi feel very sorry and gutted for you i have been going through various sorts of ivf for 4 yrs now i have taken clomid and metformin but this never worked for me i then went on to have my ovaries drilled as i have pcos etc etc i have just been told that the primary care trust where i live will not fund me just 1 go of ivf the reason why is that i have a 13 year old and i am not considered childless it has been a hard long and upsetting 4 year journey to be told there words were "we are sympathetic to your situation but we do not believe you come under the criteria to receive free funding for not even 1 go" so you go all the way with this these people think that they can mess with your lives you are under enough strain as it is in situations like these good luck ans i wish you well for the future x
