I am trying to conceive. I want to be pregnant so bad I can't stop thinking about it. I need to relax but how?

Have been trying since November, LMP 2/2/07. Every day I am dreaming of being pregnant. I need some advice on how to relax and not obsess about it. How do you relax and not think about it when that is what you want so bad? Any advice?

I don't have much advice I am in the same boat. Trying since September. I have tried to busy myself. I started going to a fitness class 3 nights a week and I help run a youth night at my church 1 day a week. Plus I work during the day. My husband and I have started some small remodling projects around the house that we spend time doing. You won't stop thinking about it but it helps to make a list of stuff that you would like to get done before the baby comes to take your mind off of it. Ours for example is finish home repairs, put up fence in back yard, get our bank and savings account to a certain number, etc. That is the only advice. Good Luck!!!!!
Learn some specific breathing techniques. Take a yoga class. There is nothing better to help you control the tension in your body which will definitely interfere with your ability to conceive. Do some research. Go to the library and read about tips to conceive and to relax.

But good luck, I hope you spend your time thinking about the responsibilities that come with the job of expecting a child.

Also, it is not a good thing to obsess about, especially if you haven't done your homework. Since November.is a very SHORT time. Lower your expectations as they are not realistic.
Sweetie I so know where you are... I have been TTC for 8 years now and I do the same thing still... just know that it is normal and I would love to say it gets better but for me it's still the same... I daydream about it everyday and when friends and family have kids it gets hard and when you are watching TV or a Movie and a baby comes on you can not stop thinking about it... What I do now is just let it happen ... everything just turns to me thinking of baby!! I did find that talking to people that are dealing with the same thing did help knowing that I'm not the only one feeling the way I do. I have lots of friends but all of them are mom's now and I don't have anyone that knows the pain you feel when you don't have a child... I know that pain and I pray that you will be blessed with a child soon and that your daydreams will be answered... Good Luck!
well dear nothing to worry u can keep on trying till nxt november upto 12 months is consider to be normal.Jusst relax if possible take anxite pills that will calm ur mind .Dont u worry just relax and have fun dont think abt baby just think abt u and ur hubby and ur love.thats it m sure soon u'll get good news..cheers!!
My friend has been trying to concieve for the last 2 years, the doctor told her to get a basal thermometer, and not to fool around with her husband more than twice a week, since the sperm counts are lower if you do everyday. hope it helps
take a nice relaxing holiday and even u can try joining yoga
I am using my daughters account so its not a 13 year old answering your questions. I havn't been trying but i know peeps who have im a nurse and i know how hard it is for people! I would spend some time with your husband,go to church things, go to a spa you can also adopt a kid but i know how much you want to be pregnant maybe go see your doctor!

I know it's hard when you are trying it is all you can think about because I am also trying too.

i went on ebay and got ovulation tests which can help pinpoint when you are ovulating and then you can try to conceive during this time. Pregnancy tests are also cheaper.

If you have come off the pill it can take a while for your body to conceive etc...

but I wish you all the best - try not to worry and stress to much!.

It has become a full time job. What do you do when you relax from other stresses? Read?? Go out with friends?? Take a short vacation?? Drink a couple glasses of wine?? Take a break Sweet...It will happen...Ever been trying to force yourself to fall asleep and the more you look at the clock and think "oh my..I have to get up early..I need too sleep"?? What happens?? We just can't do it...One more little secret...relaxed or not ...it will happen...Think about all the women who have gotten pregnant under very non relaxed situations...So calm down...have a glass of wine...as long as you all have no med. situations..I promise you..it will happen
i can relate. my husband and i just started trying. its so hard not to think about it or not look up pregnancy info or see people with babies and think i want that so bad, and stuff like that. everyone says if you think about it then it wont happen, but i know its very hard not to. i guess some people just dont understand, and its always the people who dont want kids that have them without even trying.
Think about this: stressing your body out will only tell it that you're not ready to have a baby.
Having a baby is not like buying a car, you can't just make it happen because you want to.
Relax.
I am also trying very hard to get pregnant with #2. I can't stop obsessing either lol. I make the obsession fun. When I am at the store I look at the things in the baby aisles I wish I had with the first one and clothes of both sexes. I also like looking for nursery items online and baby names. Make it fun! Go get a nice smelling bubble bath, light a couple candles, and daydream in the tub about the different possibilities.
I am in the same boat. Since coming off depo in July 06 I have been literally dreaming of being pregnant. Everyone tells me to relax , it will happen but I am a control freak and I want to control being pregnant. There really isnt much you can do except know your body, know when its fertile, have sex, plenty of sex, drink herbal prego tea, and pray. Good Luck I am with you
