Is it past the worst to guzzle processed meat and cheese while ttc and/or during pregnancy?

I eat at Subway a great deal and wondered if the processed meats and cheeses are still a honest idea to be consuming while trying to conceive? It seem my list of foods to avoid while ttc is getting longer!

Thanks for your answers everyone.

Answers:    There is nil wrong with any rock-hard cheese, or any soft cheese made from pasteurized milk (as almost all within North America are).

The risk with deli meat, and unpasteurized dairy products, and unmistaken other foods is that they may contain Listeria. However water and soil may also contain Listeria. In North America pregnant women are advise not to eat deli meat unless they have be heated to a safe warmth. In parts of Europe they do not consider the risk great enough. The risks are small but Listeria does cross the placenta and can impose problems including miscarriage/stillbirth.

You have to desire the risks for yourself, if all you want to munch through is deli meat then the risks of starvation are far more serious than that of Listeria. Only about 500 populace per year in the US contract Listeria (well near symptoms), about 70-80% of these may be pregnant women (stats from different places). I own no stats on how many pregnancy are certainly negatively effected. About 2.5 million women distribute birth each year surrounded by the US. How many of these strictly avoid any big risk foods I do not know, but I imagine not oodles.

So to me the risks are too small to be concerned about, my first pregnancy I drove myself nuts for awhile avoiding every "risky food". Literally it be in my thoughts adjectives the time. Then I read that Listeria can be found in soil and wet and I realised that I was probably driving myself insane over zilch. If it was going to evolve it was going to appear.

As for while TTC I don't think the risks are elevated enough at adjectives, in that time term where you don't know you are pregnant the fetus is not drawing blood but is living past its sell-by date it's yolk sac. I believe it is somewhere around the 2 week mark that it starts drawing blood, however even later assuming that you don't know for another 7 days after that, the odds are so small that you would contract Listeria that I wouldn't stress roughly speaking that on top of everything else.

But that be *my* decision. You call for to make your own decree. Facts of course are other needed to make a ruling so here are a few articles, I can't find the one from Europe (I think the UK that said that they do not reflect deli meat is a high plenty risk).

Good Luck!
the only things you should avoid is tobacco an alcohol an drugs the other things are fine to guzzle an drink
Processed meats are bleak for you to being beside so for the sake of general condition I would try to limit them. It is a appropriate habit to take into for during your pregnancy.

I don't think they hold any bearing on conception, after adjectives women that don't watch what they are ingestion get pregnant don't they?
I know you arent suppose to guzzle processed meats during pregnancy bc you can procure Listeriosis. You can only take listeriosis during pregnancy. Also, you are not allowed to guzzle soft cheeses during pregnancy bc of bacteria. I am not sure almost the time before you are pregnant though.
Yea they said you should stay away from processed foods and other large sodium stuff. They said if u eat can foods your likelihood of getting pregnant are low. But I dont really believe that cause previously i got pregnant i be eating jack within the box, mc donalds, taco bell, canned foods, and ramen noodles. And i get pregnant pretty fast. And when your pregnant its ok to chomp through processed stuff like once a week but not everyday. You dont want to gain too much cargo when pregnant. Plus its bad for the infant if you eat too much cast-offs. Hope i helped
The ingredient you want to avoid within processed meats are nitrates/nitrites.
no its not worthy too, but if you want you can. i didnt really, made me sick!
