Is it the longer you are on birth control, the longer it takes to get pregnant?
Answer:
Not necessarily. I was on the pill for 7 years and my doctor advised me to stop taking them b/c she feared it would take me years to become pregnant. I got pregnant one month after I stopped taking the pills!
Keep in mind that all bodies are different- what happened to me may not happen to you.
it depends on your bobdy...my aunt got pregnant while she was on it still...
The length of time you are on the pill has nothing to do with the length of time it will take you to get pregnant. I was on the pill for 10 yrs when I decided to give myself a break from hormones. Less than a monthe later, my husband and I found out I was pregnant! We had a perfectly healthy boy who is now almost 14.
It depends on how fertile you and your partner are.
I've been on birth control since I was 15; I'm now 23. The 2 times I stopped taking it I got pregnant right away. Off of it 4 weeks the first time when I was 18 and off it 2 weeks the second time and now I'm 23 weeks pregnant w/ #2!
This method is sometimes prescribed to get your cycle back on track. I'm not aware of there being any relation to the length of time your on contraception with the length of time it takes to fall pregnant. It is more your hormones and body system sorting itself out after being on progesterone etc with contraception.
if you take them for a little while and then get off you will most likely get pregnant right away but if you're on bc for a long time then when you decide to stop taking then to get pg then you have to wait a long time so you're system will get cleaned up from all of th "chemicals" per say that you have from all of the bc! good luck on that though!!
