You are still young! However, you are quite correct in that the older we are the less fertile we get. After age 30, through age 35 there is a decrease in fertility, then from 35 to 40 drops gradually. A sharp drop after age 40. Some people have premature ovarian failure. If you are concerned for some reason, you can request a test of ovarian reserve, which would consist of 1.) Follicle stimulating hormone and 2). Estradiol. These should be done on cycle day 3. You could also have an ultrasound to look at your ovaries.
They say the best reproductive years for women are 18 to 28.
So, it is not surprising you would feel this way

It's definitely normal! You're probably noticing a lot of your collegues and friends that are your age are pregnant or having thier first or even second or third babies by now and you're feeling like you want to hop on that wagon, too. It's totally normal. Once a woman hits age 27, her fertility starts to decrease. Not to scare you, it's not like you're going to hit menopause tomorrow and all your eggs are going to dry up, just that studies show that 27 is the age that it begins to decrease so if you're feeling your clock ticking, you're right, it is.
Do yo have a husband? Because if you don't, I don't care what's ticking. You need to wait.

i'm 28, and mine's ticking...difference is, i'm married (you didn't mention a husband or anything). if i have one, my husband will be there for me.
if you aren't in a stable committed marriage, then don't have a baby. wait until you meet the right one.
im 27 also and i have two boys and i wouldnt trade them for the world even though me and their mother seperated. If you want kids dont hesitate and listen to your heart and mind.
Yup. It's normal. Especially when your friends and others your age are having them. Mine started ticking around 30.
you still have plenty of time. but it is normal
women are having babies at older ages these days
some due to career.education,etc
it will happen when the time is right
