Pregnancy and PCOS?
Answer:
Hi and goodluck, you sound like me not long ago. Your weight is probably linked to a condition called hyperinsulinemia which is an excess insulin production that leads to insulin resistance which in turn leads to weight gain. This is strongly linked to PCOS. I took a 2 sided attack to my problem 14 months ago and now have a 3 month old!
1. Weight loss - 2 months on Atkins diet controlling carbohydrates and I lost over 15 kilograms (more than 30 pounds)
2. THEN I began ONE five day course of progesterone followed by ONE five day course of clomid.
Two weeks later I was pregnant! A challenging pregnancy and diabetes for the last half, but a gorgeous 6lb boy as a result.
Good luck!
If you try metformin it will make you lose weight and then you will be on the road to becoming pregnant. I havePCOS and was put on Metformin and a year laterI was pregnat.my pregnancy ended in a miscarriage at 6 months, but that was due to stress. But also if you try to lose weight on your own then you will ovulate and become pregnant.
