I am on birth control and haven't started my period yet, and I am 2 days late, could i possibly be pregnant?
Answer:
It's not as rare to get pregnant on birth control like some people think. However the miscarriage rate is high too if you're getting pregnant while on birth control.
In the other hand you say you've just started to use this type of birth control this past month, so it might be only that your body is trying to adjust to this. To be on the safe side, however, you should take a test and IMMEDIATELY stop birth control if it comes back as positive...Good luck!
Sure. Birth control is not 100%effective and if you don't take it right it is even less protective.
There again - you could just be late. No cycle is eactly the same.
This is my standard answer... go get a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler
This book will help you with all of your menstrual and conception questions. It’s for all women - not just women trying to conceive. It covers everything from temperature to mucus checking, etc.. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! It tells you how to figure out your cycle and what to expect. My husband and I tried for a year to conceive and nothing happened. The first month I used the book we conceived right away. Now I am due Feb 2. It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths!
mostlikely it the birth control, when i was taking it my body went crazy, i got my period one months and was late the other. nothing to worry about..your fine.
No birth control is 100%. So there is always a possibility of becoming pregnant, but since this is your forst month on this particular bc you may just be having uncommon reaction to it. If you are worried take an early pregnancy test.
take a test to make sure. if not hen it might be the birth control
