Can you have a miscarriage while you have your periods?

i was into the second day of my periods and i was heavy only on this day and i felt like i was going to throw up i was dizzy and i i was in agonising pain could hardly stand and i felt quite ill i was on the verge of fainting this wasnt normal for me my mother said i could of had a miscarriage could this be true?

Unfortunately 25% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, and an awful lot of the time women don't even know they are pregnant when they miscarry. It is possible you had a very very early miscarriage.

Yes, it is possible that you had a miscarriage. You could be perfectly fine now, but if you continue to have pain and/or bleed you need to go to the doctor because if you did have a miscarriage you could end up with severe blood loss leading to other complications
Yes, many women get their period, and they are having a miscarriage but just don't know it. They call it a chemical pregnancy.. sometimes you might even get a positive test, and then get your "period" which is worse since you actually KNEW you were pregnant. But, I can say I have had periods as you described, and I KNOW I wasn't pregnant.
