My period is quite normal every 30 days, I was supposed to get it yesterday 01/25/06, so I am only 1 day late, I have cramping this morning right above my uterus, is this period cramps or early pregnancy? Is the pain usually in the same place for period cramps, just asking because I'm usually fortunate and barley ever get cramps, so I'm not really sure what the difference of pain is. Where does it cramp if you are pregnant very early stages and where does it cramp when you are about to get your period?

Cramping can be cause from a early pregnancy and a period too, since you are a day late and pretty normal I would take a pregnancy test just to be sure.
