I have been taking acne medicines.is it harmful for conception & also the health of the baby?
i had severe breakouts on my face.so when i went to dermatologist he prescribed me an oral pill called "dorex" for acne which i've been taking for past 1 1/2 years.now we are trying to conceive from past 1 month. i failed to conceive during the 1st month. now we are planning to try again this month.my concern is i read in an article & also heard from few people that acne pills causes birth defect in babies.also i read that most acne pills are birth control pills.is it true? now im really worried as i'm trying to conceive.will these be an obstacle for me in trying to conceive process.should i stop the tablets for few months & then try to conceive?if so how many months before i need to stop taking pills? how long does our body generally take to detoxify a medicine taken for the course of 1 1/2 years. plz help me. i want a healthy baby.if u guys suggest me to stop TTC for a while i'm ready to do it.i'm getting very tensed. i didnt know that acne pills are so harmful.plz help!

You should not be on that per my Ob. They told me not to be on any meds like that.
i've been trying this stuff called beautiful skin and to my surprise it's actually working!
I'm no medical professional but any time you have a prescription medication it generally has some kind of side-effects. If you are seriously trying, I would stop that medication and ask your doctor for natural treatments that do not have those side-effects.
