If you have really specific questions email me. It's available on my profile. I've been doing it for two years now.
Im confused about this question?
I have never heard of anybody checking there own cervix. I dont think its very safe either.you should leave it up to your doctor!
You really should ask your GYN to tell you what to look/feel for. No it's not dumb. More women should be aware of their own bodies.
There is nothing wrong with checking your own cervix. We used to recommend that women got familiar with their own bodies all the time at the midwife practice I worked at. To do this, you can either lie down or if you are more comfortable you can check on the toilet...it's just a place where most of us are comfortable. After you empty your bladder, just reach in.your cervix is going to feel like(almost like) the tip of your nose. Once you get used to it, it is really easy to feel. It will change position depending on various factors so don't worry if you find it in one position one time and in another at a different time.
I think you're asking us how you can check your own cervix? That's impossible-- that is way up there and I don't know what you would be looking for- or why you would want to--- see a gyno-- he/she could check it for you and tell you ALL about it!!
when you feel your cervix it is usually a bit softer when youre ovulating and there will be a ton of cervical mucus- wont be sticky will be slimy (almost like girl c.um- sorry, not to be gross) I believe it will also be lower down than usual, normally it's pretty high up there but around ovulation, it drops. I hope this helps you. I was able to conceive my kids when i wanted to by using these guidelines. Good luck!
When you are ovulating your cervix will soften and be more spongy than other times of your cycle. You will probably need to check it every day and chart the different changes to be able to tell when you are ovulating. It should be farther up inside you and harder when you are not ovulating. I was told to check it by squatting down and inserting 2 fingers and feeling the cervix in this position. I havent ever tried it but I have heard it works.
