My period is a week late, but 2 home pregnancy tests have been negative. I have been trying to conceive.?

I have been off of birth control for 9 months, and my periods have been regular every single month. I am not under any stress and I take good care of my health. What is going on?

Answer:
Ask your doctor to give you a blood test. Sometimes certain medications can affect the results of a urine test. A blood test is much more accurate.

Several years ago my aunt took two home tests. One said negative, and one said positive. When she when to the doctor, their test said negative. Then they did a blood test and that time it was positive.

Good Luck!
I had the same thing happen to me, although I had been doing ovulation tests and knew that I ovulated. I was also off the pill for 9 months and had very regular periods until this month. I was exactly a week late. The body does weird things!
Take a test again in a few days. If you can't wait that long, see if your OB will give you a blood pregnancy test. Good luck.
