When was your latest positive pregnancy test after a negative?
I am asking bc I am about 11 days late...and have had 11 negative hpt tests. I was going in for a blood test today but my husband said if I have had this many negatives, it's probably just late...I am thinking that more than likely, I am not pregnant, but was wondering if anyone had their first positive more than 11 days after their period was late.

It never took me that long. Maybe you need to call your doctor. Get a blood test and then if it is still negative, he/she can prescribe Provera to make you start.
I did. First one I took I was 7 days late came up negative. waited till I was 16 days late to take the next test and that one did come up positive. I also say go to the doc's they will tell you for sure.
Some women NEVER get a positive HPT. Like even after they're definitely 6 months along.
But that is rare. It could be that you're just going to skip this period; it happens sometimes. Or maybe you are pregnant but it's not viable and so your hCG levels aren't as high as they should be (if that's what it is, I'm sorry ...). Those are the most likely possibilities.
However, I am in the same position; I'm a week late now and keep getting negatives. But I had what I think was implantation bleeding on the very day my period was due. So theoretically, if the embryo implanted THAT DAY, that could be why I'm not getting positives. Simply because it hasn't been long enough since the actual conception. I am also going for a blood test in a few more days.
With my first pregnancy, which did not work out, I didn't get a positive until TWO WEEKS after my period was due. But it was the same situation ... what I thought was implantation bleeding on the day my period should have come.

Make a doctors appointment because if you keep depending on hpt's you might keep getting negative and it should read positive. Get a blood test it is way more accurate then a hpt. good luck.
Wow, this sounds familiar. I was due for my period, but it never came. I waited and waited, all the while getting negative pee tests. The, 2 weeks ago on Tuesday I had a qualitative blood test that was negative (read to me by the dr. on Thursday) and on Friday I was over a week late, so I tested right then and I was FINALLY positive. Definitely 2 pink lines. So a couple days can make a difference in the amount of hormone that is detectible. It is our first pregnancy, is it yours as well? I was ALWAYS regular--typical 28 day cycle. I wouldn't rule anything out yet, girly. Just keep taking prenatal vitamins and "acting" like you're prego by taking care of your body! BEST OF LUCK!
