13 days late for period!! HCG level between 5-25.. Help!! Is it too low??
Answer:
You are pregnant with any HCG number; however it could be a few things:
1. You are a "Late Ovulater" and you are very early on in your pregnancy.
2. You are having an early miscarriage and the baby has stopped developing.
3.. You already HAD a miscarriage and the number is dropping accordingly.
I pray that it's #1--I am TTC right now too!
Yes. With this baby in fact. I too thought that it was either you are or you are not. No in between. When they told me my results they said borderline! I was "WHAT?" When I went back in the numbers were up and guess what? We are 14 weeks and 2 days today. We have seen the baby in ultrasound 3 times and got to enjoy the sound of its heart beat. Good luck.
After 13 days it should be a higher HCG level. And some women miscarry many times early on before even realizing they were pregnant. So there is no real way of knowing whats going on until you go into the doc again on the 26th. I would just act as if you were pregnant, stay healthy, and hope for the best! Good Luck!
P.S. It wouldn't hurt to take a HPT a couple times before then to see if you get a positive! They only show a positive when you get above 25 HCG so that would definitely indicate you were pregnant! :)
I was told normal range for a women who is not pregnant is between 5-25 for both of my pregnancy tests at the doctors. At 13 late for your period, you should have passed implantation by now and it should be MUCH higher. At 4 weeks for me it was over 3,250. I guess it's possible it's just too early to test, but it sounds like you're not pregnant to me. Good Luck either way!
I don't know that I would be more concerned with a yes or a no in as much as I would be with the number ITSELF. If you are nearly two weeks late, that would make you roughly 6 weeks pregnant, correct? Your HCG count was only at 25 for being 6 weeks? That is WAYYY too low. It could indicate a fetus has died/stopped growing.
