That's when you are supposed to use them. First thing in the morning with your first urination. Didn't you read the instructions?

I've used 3 different brands. Some tests say to use first morning urine, whilst others advise not to. You'll need to read the instructions for each individual brand. Apparently Lutenising Hormone (which the tests are designed to detect) is mostly produced after 10am in the morning so I guess that's why some tests advise waiting until later in the day?
