A false positive is a very rare thing. Tak another test and your answer with surley come of that. If it is positive then you are indeed pregnant. Congrat!!
You could have had a faulty test. I would retest.
False positives are possible. There is a new test on the market that says pregnant / not pregnant, it's digital. I saw the commercial last night. Sorry, I don't remember the manufacturer - clear blue or ept I think. A pharmacist might know.
A positive's a positive. Even In the instructions it generally tells you that. If your unsure either take another test of go get a blood test done by the doctor.
I've heard of false negatives, but never false positives.

I've never had a false positive test. I have taken many many tests and have 3 children. I have had faint lines in the control window but I turned out to be pregnant. Any kind of line faint or dark means that it's detecting some pregnancy hormone in your urine. I think it's a possibility you are pregnant. I would get bloodwork done by my doctor if I were you.
wow that is strange!! never heard of that!! i would talk to your doctor you may have an ectopic pregnancy??
I had a positive home pregnancy test last week and the day after I started to bleed so I went to the ER and my blood test showed I wasnt pregnant. The doctor told me its more like I had an early miscarriage. He said 80% of the women think their period was just late but they really had a so called chemical pregnancy or early miscarriage. Its also pretty common that the home pregnancy test shows positive and negative blood test cause in case of miscarriage the HCG(pregnancy hormone )dissolves quickly in the blood but it takes more to leave the urine. Go take a blood test so u will know for sure! Good luck
Well to hopefully ease your mind.. there is such a thing as a false positive. My sis whom works in a dr's office (lab tech) said it's possible to have false positives. I tested positive one day and negative the next. I called her up and asked her.. she said ur prego girl!! I ended up loosing the baby, but got pregnant again in just a few months... had a healthy baby boy. I'd retake the test again.. follow up with your gyno.. better to find out for sure !
