I have early periods, could I be pregnant?

I and my husband are trying for baby. Usually I have a 26 days cycle for periods and it's always like that. May be it 25 or 27 days but not more than that. This time I got my period around a week before due date. I had my last period on 21 Dec, so next is due on 17 Jan. But I got on 14 Jan. Could I be pregnant? Is early period symptom of pregnancy?

thanks in advance.

Answer:
If you had a full blown period - heavy, red bleeding - no I would say you are not pregnant. Bleeding is normally not a symptom. I have short cycles also. If you are not charting, you may want to start to make sure that your LP (luteal phase) is long enough - it should be at least 10 days. If it's too short, that may make it more difficult to conceive, but it easily treated.
