Tubal Reversal & Insurance issue?

I am in my second mnarriage, had a tubal during first marriage--was a bad relationship and didn't think would get a divorce-and my husband has no children. We looked into IVF, but found out that since I had a tubal, that it wouldn't be covered. Now we are looking at the reversal-due to the cost-I am 40 and time is running out-does anyone know of any funding -or how I could get an insurance that would cover it? I presently have Blue Cross/Blue Shield-which won't cover anything. :-( Help!?

Answer:
I am in a similar situation and have talked with my insurance provider about it. There is just no way insurance will cover a reversal for something you chose. However, some clinics and doctors do provide financing. Depending on the type of ligation you had, IVF may still be your best option. Talk to your doctor and your insurance provider about your options. Best of luck!
Very few types of health insurance cover any type of fertility treatments, and if you find one that does its going to have sky high premiums. Better start saving up your cash or take out a personal loan.
I know a terrific doctor that does payment plans/financing that specializes in untieing women's tubes.
2 of my family members and 3 of my friends all went ot the same doctor and had their tubes untied and all were pregnant within a year. I highly recommend you to the following doctor:

Dr. Richard Levin
