IVF what are the chances of getting pregnant with ivf at the age of 42 how much per treatment?
Answer:
IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI, ICSI and Laparoscopic surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Fly2india4health Consultants. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients, as all surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.
They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor I personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of Healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
My cousin got her IVF (in vitro fertilization) treatment; IUI surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results. She is all praise for Fly2india4health Consultants. She paid just 20% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. Hope this helps

the only way to get the facts is to consult a fertility clinic
You would be better making an appointment with your gp to discuss this aswell as any other options that may be available to you. Your doctor can reffer you to a fertility clinic as they can advise you clearly and precisely on what you can do and the cost of doing it. There are lots of things available before ivf such as fertility medicines and operations that can increase/correct your ability to concieve. I am not very awareof the rules around it but surrogacy is also an option for some people aswell as egg sharing and egg or sperm doners. Good luck
You might have problems getting an IVF clinic to accept you as a patient at 42. Some do not treat women over 40.
ever woman is different, you could pay four thousand Pound's but you should be able to have a go on the national health for free, go sort it out you can pay in instalments, good luck we got two for one first go two years ago.
Hi. I'm assuming you're asking as a 42 yo female.
The pregnancy rates for IVF will vary from clinic to clinic, although in general I think you'll find that at 42 yo, your chance will be in the 20-30% range ASSUMING that certain tests of your ovarian reserve are normal.
Tests of ovarian reserve examine how "young" your ovaries are. This may involve things such as a Day 3 FSH/Estradiol test or a Clomid challenge test (ask your doc for more details). Generally if these are elevated, this is associated with a <5% chance of pregnancy even with IVF.
If these tests indicate a poor <5% prognosis, or if spending 10-15k on an IVF cycle for a 20-30% chance of pregancy is not appealing to you, all is not lost.
The use of donor egg, eggs donated from a younger woman would give you a 50-65% chance of pregnancy. This of course is not an ideal situation for a number of peoplle - HOWEVER realize that although the baby would not be genetically related to you, that for all intents and purposes you would be considered the mother. You would be the one that become pregnant, that carries the pregancy for 9 months and that undergoes the experience of child-birth.
Good luck and hang in there!
